I’ve made a few fresh starts in my life. Some geographic, some emotional, some professional. Each time, there’s that same cocktail of fear and hope. That same sense of leaving something comfortable for something uncertain. That same need to believe that what’s ahead is worth the risk.
The car imagery throughout the song is intentional—there’s something about driving that represents freedom and forward motion. The rearview mirror fading. The horizon calling. The open road as metaphor for possibility.
But what I really wanted to capture was the internal shift that happens when you finally stop playing it safe. When you stop living for other people’s approval and start living for yourself. When you choose growth over comfort.
