I started writing “Soundtrack of Your Life” in March 2017 with a simple observation: our lives are literally made of sound. A baby’s coo. A toddler’s cry. A teenager’s questions. The silence of reflection. The laughter of celebration.

Every stage of life has its own music, its own rhythm, its own tempo. And every choice we make adds a note to the song we’re composing.

What struck me as I worked on this song was the realization that we are both the composers and the audience of our own lives. We don’t just experience the soundtrackโ€”we CREATE it. Every decision, every risk, every moment of courage or fear or joy adds to the melody.

The song moves chronologically through life stages because I wanted to capture something universal: we’re all living this same basic arc, but each of us is writing a completely unique song. Your childhood sounds different from mine. Your adolescence, your young adulthood, your maturityโ€”all different notes, different rhythms, different harmonies.

But the message is the same for all of us: This is YOUR song. You’re writing it right now. Every single day.

The “choice” theme runs throughout because that’s what I’ve learned in my own journeyโ€”we have more control over our soundtrack than we think. We can’t control everything that happens to us, but we can control how we respond. We can choose the tempo. We can choose the key. We can choose whether our story is a tragedy or a triumph.

Why this song is the title track: Because it encapsulates everything the album is aboutโ€”taking ownership of your story, recognizing your agency, and understanding that your life is a work of art in progress.

Perfect for: Graduation ceremonies, milestone birthdays, life reflection moments, photo montages
