Hey friends,
It’s March 5th. “March Winds” has been out for almost two weeks. “The Claddagh Ring” has been streaming since February 16th. And tomorrow, “Leprechaun’s Gold” drops.
I’m sitting here in the middle of this whirlwind I created, and I want to take a moment to just… reflect. To tell you what this journey has been like so far.
The Album Is Out There
“March Winds” is REAL. It’s not just files on my computer anymore. It’s out in the world. People are listening to it. People are connecting with it.
And that’s surreal.
I spent months writing these songs. I spent hours listening to Suno versions trying to find the perfect production for each track. I wrote 15 individual blogs explaining every song. I poured my whole self into this project.
And now it’s YOURS.
People are streaming “Bloom Where You’re Planted.” Someone told me “The Irish Goodbye” made them laugh out loud. Someone else said “March Eighteenth” made them cry thinking about their own child’s birth.
That’s the dream, right? That the music connects. That it becomes part of someone else’s story.
What I’ve Learned So Far
Lesson 1: Vulnerability is terrifying and worth it.
Putting “It Runs on Both Sides of the Family” out there – even in its lighter, observational form – was scary. Talking about family drinking culture isn’t easy. But the response has been incredible. People RELATE. They see their own families in it. They feel less alone.
Lesson 2: Comedy songs matter just as much as serious ones.
I was worried people wouldn’t take “The Irish Goodbye” seriously as art. But you know what? People NEED comedy. They need songs that make them laugh. “The Irish Goodbye” is getting shared, quoted, celebrated. Never underestimate the power of making people smile.
Lesson 3: People want authentic stories.
The songs that are resonating most are the SPECIFIC ones. “March Eighteenth” with its purple-pink water bottle and squats in grocery aisles. “Irish Kitchen” with its Sprouts soda bread confession. The details matter. The truth matters.
Lesson 4: I can actually do this.
Two weeks ago, I was nervous. What if nobody listened? What if it all flopped? But people ARE listening. The streams are growing. The engagement is real. I CAN do this monthly album thing. I CAN be an independent artist.
The Folklore Singles Journey
Here’s what I love about the folklore singles: they let me explore Irish heritage through different lenses.
“The Claddagh Ring” is tender and romantic – love, loyalty, friendship.
“Leprechaun’s Gold” (dropping tomorrow!) is playful with deeper wisdom – about what we chase versus what we need.
“The Fairy’s Gift” (March 9) is atmospheric and mysterious – about gifts with conditions.
And “The Day We’re All Irish” (March 17) is PURE CHAOS – Celtic punk celebration of St. Patrick’s Day madness.
Each one tells a different Irish story. Each one connects to the themes in “March Winds” but stands alone. And together, they create this rich tapestry of Irish culture – the romantic, the wise, the mystical, the LOUD.
What’s Working
The blog series is connecting. People are reading the stories behind the songs. They’re engaging. They’re sharing. The daily song blogs gave people a reason to come back every day.
The personal touch matters. I’m not trying to be a polished, perfect pop star. I’m being ME – a mom in Southern California, 33% Irish, figuring this out as I go. And people appreciate the authenticity.
The variety is engaging people. From playful (“Leap Day”) to comedy (“The Irish Goodbye”) to power anthems (“Bloom Where You’re Planted”) to folklore (all the singles), there’s something for everyone.
What’s Coming
Tomorrow (March 6): “Leprechaun’s Gold” drops! Get ready for Irish wisdom about chasing rainbows versus appreciating what you have.
March 9: “The Fairy’s Gift” – the mysterious, atmospheric one about gifts with conditions.
March 17: “THE DAY WE’RE ALL IRISH” – Celtic punk CHAOS for St. Patrick’s Day. This is the BIG one.
Beyond March: I’m already working on the next monthly album. Yes, I’m serious about this 12-albums-in-2026 thing.
What I Need From You
Keep streaming. Every listen matters. Every stream tells algorithms this music deserves to be heard.
Share your favorites. Which songs are you connecting with? Tell people! Post on social media! Word of mouth is everything for independent artists.
Engage with the content. Comment on the blogs. Tell me your stories. Let me know which songs are hitting you hardest.
Spread the word about sync opportunities. If you know music supervisors, directors, people in TV/film – tell them about “March Winds.” These songs are READY for placement.
The Gratitude Moment
Thank you for being here. Thank you for listening. Thank you for caring about the stories behind the songs.
This is only possible because of YOU – the people who show up, who stream, who share, who engage.
We’re two weeks into the “March Winds” journey, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
Here’s to leprechauns, fairies, and Celtic punk still to come.
Here’s to blooming where we’re planted.
Here’s to making noise in March.
