Hey friends,

I want to talk to you about something really practical today – something that can make a huge difference in how you experience my music and how my music reaches more people who need to hear it.

Seriously. Whether you’re on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, or any other streaming platform – take 30 seconds right now and follow me. Here’s why: when you follow an artist, your streaming service actually tells you when new music drops. You’ll get notifications, you’ll see it in your feed, you won’t miss a single release.

And I’ve got a LOT of music coming your way. We’re talking albums, singles, projects that span everything from dark folklore Christmas tales to California road trip soundtracks to love songs that cover every kind of love you can imagine. If you follow me, you’ll know the moment each one is available.

Every stream you play changes everything.

Here’s something most people don’t realize: every single stream you play actually matters. Each one. When you listen to a song – even just once – it helps that song get discovered by other listeners. Streaming platforms pay attention to engagement. The more a song gets played, the more the algorithm shares it with people who might love it too.

Your streams aren’t just numbers to me. They’re proof that these songs are connecting. They’re how I know I’m on the right track. They’re how my music finds its way to the people who need to hear it.

Why I’m doing this in the first place.

I’m writing music because it’s what I do. It’s what I love doing. But I’m not writing music to keep it in my journals anymore – I’m writing these songs for YOU to hear. For you to connect with. For you to feel seen and understood and less alone.

I’m trying to change something in the music industry. I’m tired of songs that feel manufactured, that don’t reflect real life, that don’t speak to actual human experience. I’m writing songs that are relatable. Songs about the messy, beautiful, complicated, joyful, painful parts of being human. Songs that tell the truth.

And the only way those songs reach the people who need them is if you help me get them out there.

So here’s what I’m asking:

  1. Follow me on whatever streaming platform you use
  2. Stream my music – let it play while you work, while you drive, while you cook dinner
  3. Share songs that resonate with you with someone who might need to hear them

That’s it. That’s how you help me keep doing this work I love, and how you help these songs find their people.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for listening. Thank you for making this possible.

With so much gratitude,
Melanie
