    Hey everyone,

    Can I be honest with you about something? Every time I write a song, somewhere in the back of my mind, I imagine where it might live beyond just being a track on an album.

    I imagine it in a movie scene. I imagine it in a TV show. I imagine it soundtracking a moment that makes someone FEEL something.

    That’s the dream, right? To have your music become part of someone else’s story?

    So today I want to share with you: if I could place my “March Winds” songs anywhere, here’s where I’d put them.

    “Bloom Where You’re Planted” – The Transformation Scene

    IMAGINE THIS: It’s the end of a movie. The protagonist has been through EVERYTHING. They’ve hit rock bottom. They’ve questioned everything. And now they’re standing somewhere – doesn’t matter where – and they make the decision to stop waiting for perfect conditions and just START.

    The music swells. My voice comes in: “Bloom where you’re planted…”

    That moment when a character decides they’re not waiting anymore? When they claim their power right where they are? THAT’S where this song belongs.

    I see it in:

    • A coming-of-age film’s climactic moment
    • A sports movie when the underdog realizes they have what it takes
    • A career-change story when someone finally takes the leap
    • Any film about resilience and choosing to grow despite circumstances

    This is my “I’m going to make it after all” song. My “Defying Gravity” moment. And I want it to be YOUR transformation anthem too.

    “The Irish Goodbye” – The Comedy Scene

    IMAGINE THIS: A sitcom. Someone’s at a terrible party. Camera follows them as they scope out the exits, plotting their escape. Quick cuts of them slowly edging toward the door. Someone calls their name – they freeze. Then they BOLT.

    Cut to them in their car, laughing, putting on “The Irish Goodbye” and singing along.

    This song NEEDS to be in a comedy. It’s too perfect for:

    • Rom-coms when the date goes wrong
    • Sitcoms about awkward social situations
    • Any show about introverts navigating extrovert culture
    • Friend-group comedies where everyone knows someone who pulls the Irish Goodbye

    I can see this in “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “The Good Place,” “Schitt’s Creek” – anywhere with that perfect blend of humor and relatability.

    “March Eighteenth” – The Birth Scene

    IMAGINE THIS: A hospital drama. A character going into labor. The stress, the waiting, the plans that don’t go according to plan. And then – the baby arrives. Not when expected. On their own timeline.

    This song plays over that moment when the parent realizes: this tiny human already has their own path. Already teaching lessons about letting go of control.

    This belongs in:

    • Medical dramas during tender birth moments
    • Family shows exploring parenthood
    • Any story about becoming a parent and learning to surrender control

    This song is MADE for:

    “Renewal” is the closing statement. The soft anthem. The moment where I look back at everything we’ve walked through together and say: This is me. Transformed. Renewed. FREE.

    The Story Behind “Renewal”

    This is the song that brings the entire journey full circle. We’ve been through comedy, darkness, healing, and power. We’ve faced family dysfunction, embraced chaos, planted seeds, and claimed our strength.

    And now? Now we acknowledge the transformation. Now we say “I’m not who I was before. And that’s a GOOD thing.”

    Renewal isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about becoming who you were always meant to be.

    The Soft Power

    “Renewal” is a SOFT anthem. It’s powerful without being bombastic. It’s triumphant without being aggressive. The power comes from TRUTH, not volume.

    Think “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman – that emotional, authentic power that comes from finally accepting yourself. From finally saying “this is who I am, and I’m not apologizing.”

    Start the verses quiet and intimate, almost vulnerable. Build gradually. The chorus is powerful but controlled. The bridge strips back before the final chorus explosion.

    And that last line – “This is me” – should fade out like an exhale. Like peace. Like coming home to yourself.

    The Caterpillar Metaphor

    “The caterpillar doesn’t mourn the wings / It breaks apart to fly to bigger things”

    This is one of my favorite lyrics I’ve ever written. Because it’s TRUE. The caterpillar doesn’t sit in the cocoon thinking “oh no, I’m losing my caterpillar body!” It SURRENDERS to the transformation. It trusts the process.

    And that’s what this whole album has been about. Surrendering to transformation. Trusting that breaking down isn’t the end – it’s the beginning of something bigger.

    The Permission to Change

    That bridge gives us something SO important: PERMISSION.

    “I’m allowed to change / I’m allowed to rearrange / Everything I thought I’d always stay”

    We spend so much time thinking we have to be consistent. That changing means we were “wrong” before. That transformation means admitting failure.

    But what if transformation is actually about becoming MORE yourself? What if changing isn’t betrayal – it’s growth?

    You’re allowed to change. You’re allowed to rearrange. You’re allowed to become.

    What This Song Does for the Album

    “Renewal” brings the journey home. We’ve been through EVERYTHING – joy, pain, laughter, darkness, hope, power. And now we land here: transformed. Renewed. At peace with who we’re becoming.

    This isn’t a loud ending. It’s not a celebration. It’s a quiet, powerful acknowledgment: I’ve been through the fire. I’ve been remade. And I’m okay with who I’m becoming.

    Actually, I’m more than okay. I’m FREE.

    The Final Message

    This album has been a March journey – from playful beginnings through dark valleys and up to powerful peaks. And “Renewal” is me saying to you:

    You can go through all of this and come out BETTER. Not broken. Not damaged. But renewed.

    Transformation isn’t easy. It’s messy. It’s painful. It requires you to face darkness (track 9), to plant hope even when you can’t see results (track 12), to dance in chaos (track 13), and to claim your power (track 14).

    But on the other side? You get to say “This is me.” And mean it.

    I prayed for change. I prayed for something new, something big to happen in my life. I was waiting. I was ready. I had my bags packed, metaphorically speaking.

    And… nothing happened.

    Days passed. Weeks passed. The big change I was praying for? It didn’t come.

    And then I felt it – not an audible voice, but a clear, undeniable sense from God: “Grow where you are. Bloom where you’re planted.”

    I wasn’t supposed to wait for perfect conditions. I wasn’t supposed to wait for the big opportunity or the perfect moment or the ideal circumstances.

    I was supposed to bloom RIGHT HERE. RIGHT NOW. In the imperfect soil. In the rocky ground. In the place I thought I was just passing through.

    “Roots can grow in rocky soil / And flowers push through concrete cracks” – you don’t need perfect conditions. You just need to be WILLING to grow anyway.

    And that bridge? “This is my moment, this is my ground / This is where I’m meant to be found / I’m done with excuses, done with delay / I’m blooming right here, I’m blooming today!”

    That’s AGENCY. That’s CHOICE. That’s saying “I’m not waiting anymore. I’m not making excuses. This is MY moment and I’m taking it.”

    The Vocal Showcase

    This is THE moment on the album where I get to show what these Alto-Mezzo Soprano pipes can do. This is my “Defying Gravity.” This is my “And I Am Telling You.”

    Start verse 1 with RESTRAINT. Build through verse 2 with growing confidence. And then the bridge? The bridge is where you GO FOR IT. That “I’m blooming today!” line should be a MOMENT. A belt. A declaration.

    Final chorus adds those extra lines and should be FULL OUT. Everything I’ve got. Every ounce of power and conviction.

    Because if I’m going to tell YOU to bloom where you’re planted, I better mean it with my whole chest.

    What This Song Does for the Album

    We’ve been building to this. Track 9 took us to the depths. Tracks 10-12 slowly brought us back to hope. Track 13 gave us wild energy. And NOW? Now we claim our POWER.

    This is the climax. This is the peak. This is the moment where transformation becomes CHOICE, not just something that happens TO you.

    After this, track 15 (“Renewal”) brings us home with quiet power. But first, we need THIS. We need to ROAR.

    The Lesson I Learned

    I was waiting for God to change my circumstances. But God was saying “I’m going to change YOU right where you are.”

    And that was the more powerful transformation anyway.

    Because blooming where you’re planted isn’t about settling. It’s not about giving up on dreams. It’s about recognizing that you have power RIGHT NOW, right where you are, even if it’s not where you thought you’d be.

    It’s about stop waiting for permission. Stop waiting for perfect conditions. Stop waiting for the five-year plan to line up.

    Bloom NOW. Bloom HERE. Bloom with what you have, where you are, as you are.

    What I Hope You Feel

    I want you to feel POWERFUL. I want you to feel like you can take on the world. I want you to stop making excuses about why you can’t start until conditions are perfect.

    Hold onto your hats, friends. Literally. Because the ENERGY is BACK and we’re about to get WILD.

    After three songs of gentle recovery and hope-building, “March Winds” explodes with that chaotic, beautiful, can’t-be-controlled energy of spring storms. This is the title track. This is where everything breaks loose.

    The Story Behind “March Winds”

    If you’ve ever experienced March in California (or anywhere, really), you know: the wind is UNPREDICTABLE. One minute it’s calm, the next minute your trash cans are rolling down the street, your hair is a disaster, and your umbrella is inside-out.

    March winds are chaos. They’re wild. They’re uncontrollable. And honestly? They’re FUN.

    This song came from one of those days when I stepped outside and immediately lost my hat. And then my jacket was flapping like a sail. And then I just started LAUGHING because what else can you do? You can’t control the wind. You can only dance with it.

    That bridge is EVERYTHING. It’s the moment where I stop fighting the chaos and start EMBRACING it.

    “Maybe wildness is the point of it / Not everything needs to stay / Some things need to be blown away”

    That’s the lesson. The wind isn’t your enemy. It’s doing what wind does – clearing out what doesn’t need to be there anymore. Making space. Shaking things up.

    And that last line of the bridge – “How to dance when things won’t stay” – that’s it. That’s the whole point. Things WON’T stay. Life is change. Life is chaos. And you can either fight it and get exhausted, or you can learn to dance.

    After three gentle, building songs (tracks 10-12), “March Winds” is where the album says “OKAY, WE’RE DONE BEING GENTLE. TIME TO MOVE.”

    This needs KINETIC energy. Driving drums, electric guitar riffs, dynamic intensity. You should feel like you’re being blown around while listening to this. Like you can’t sit still.

    That 140 BPM should make you want to MOVE. To dance. To let go of control and just… go with it.

    The Controlled Chaos

    Here’s the trick with this song: it needs to sound chaotic but still be CONTROLLED. Like a well-choreographed storm. The music should feel wild and unpredictable, but underneath it all, there’s structure holding it together.

    Kind of like life, right? It feels chaotic, but there’s always something holding it together if you look close enough.

    What This Song Does for the Album

    “March Winds” is the ENERGY RETURN. We’ve been building slowly since track 10. We’ve been healing, hoping, planting seeds. And NOW? Now we’re ALIVE again. Now we’re dancing in the storm.

    This sets us up perfectly for track 14 (“Bloom Where You’re Planted”), which is the BIG VOCAL SHOWCASE. You need this wild, energetic moment to lead into that power anthem.

    What I Hope You Feel

    I want you to feel ENERGIZED. I want you to feel ALIVE. I want you to remember what it feels like to let go of control and just… be in the moment.

    One week after the “March Winds” album drops, we’re diving into one of Ireland’s most famous legends: the leprechaun and his pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

    But here’s the thing – this song isn’t really about leprechauns. It’s about what we chase, what we think we want, and what we actually need.

    The Leprechaun Legend

    You know the story: catch a leprechaun, and he’ll lead you to his pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. But leprechauns are tricksters. They’re clever. They’ll distract you, make you look away for just a second, and POOF – they’re gone, and so is your chance at the gold.

    The rainbow moves. The gold is always just out of reach. And even if you DO manage to get the leprechaun’s gold, it often disappears or turns to worthless stones once you get home.

    The moral? Be careful what you chase. Be careful what you think will make you happy.

    Why This Song?

    I wrote “Leprechaun’s Gold” about the things we convince ourselves we need. The perfect job. The perfect relationship. The perfect house. The perfect life. We chase them like they’re pots of gold at the end of rainbows, thinking “if I could just GET there, I’d be happy.”

    But the rainbow keeps moving. The goal keeps shifting. And we forget to look at what we already have.

    This song is about recognizing when you’re chasing leprechaun’s gold – something that looks valuable but keeps you running in circles – versus recognizing the real treasure that’s already in your hands.

    The Irish Wisdom

    Irish folklore is FULL of cautionary tales about greed, about chasing the wrong things, about being tricked by what glitters. Leprechauns aren’t villains in these stories – they’re teachers. They show us what happens when we prioritize gold over everything else.

    The leprechaun doesn’t need to steal from you. He just needs to distract you. And we do that to ourselves all the time, don’t we? We get so focused on what we DON’T have that we forget to appreciate what we DO have.

    “Leprechaun’s Gold” has a playful energy with a deeper message underneath. It’s got that Irish folk feel with modern production – think fiddles, acoustic guitar, maybe some whistles, but with a contemporary singer-songwriter heart.
