    THE DREAM LIVES ON – PASSING THE TORCH

    Some dreams are too important to die.

    “The Dream Lives On” is my way of connecting the dots between Reagan’s vision of a shining city on a hill and the America we’re fighting for today.

    Reagan’s Morning in America

    Ronald Reagan spoke of “morning in America” – a time of hope, prosperity, and renewal. He dreamed of borders that were honored, elections that were fair, and a nation where hard work still mattered.

    The opening verse sets the scene: “There was a vision once of shining cities on a hill, a promise that hard work and faith could bend the future to our will.”

    What Happened to the Dream

    Somewhere along the way, that dream got buried. The lyrics acknowledge this honestly: “That dream got buried under years of broken promises and lies.”

    But then something changed. Someone picked up that torch again.

    The Dream Renewed

    This patriotic ballad isn’t about looking backward with nostalgia – it’s about recognizing that the same values Reagan fought for are worth fighting for today:

    • Secure borders
    • Jobs for Americans
    • Legal immigration with dignity
    • Freedom to pursue your dreams

    Freedom AND Law

    One of my favorite verses addresses something crucial: “Freedom’s not chaos, it’s order and law, liberty balanced with justice for all.”

    Freedom only works when we have structure. That’s not a contradiction – it’s wisdom.

    From Generation to Generation

    The bridge captures the heart of the song: “From one generation to the next, the torch is passed, the mission’s set.”

    This is about legacy. About honoring those who came before while building something for those who come after.

    Musical Journey

    This song starts as an acoustic rock ballad and builds to an anthem. Determined, heartfelt, nostalgic but forward-looking. It’s meant to inspire without being preachy.

    Why This Matters

    As a mom, I think a lot about what kind of America I’m leaving for my kids. This song reminds me that the fight for freedom isn’t new – and it’s not over.

    AMERICA FIRST – WHERE IT ALL BEGINS

    When I sat down to create the album I Love America, I knew exactly how it needed to open: with strength, with power, and with a declaration that we’re not backing down.

    “America First” is that opening statement.

    This patriotic anthem isn’t just about a slogan – it’s about the journey of resilience. It’s about being forged in fire, having steel in your spine, and standing unshakeable no matter what comes against you.

    The Story Behind the Song

    I wanted to write a song that captured what so many Americans feel right now: we’ve been through a lot, we’ve been tested, but we’re still standing. We’re still fighting. We’re still rising.

    The lyrics “Forged in fire across this land, steel in our spine, iron in our will” came from thinking about what makes America different. We don’t break easily. We bend, we struggle, but we come back stronger.

    Why a Duet?

    I chose to make this a duet because strength isn’t just one voice – it’s all of us together. Male and female voices united, representing every American who refuses to give up on this country.

    The chorus – “America first, we plant our feet, no retreat, we don’t accept defeat” – is meant to be sung together. It’s a stadium anthem, a rallying cry, a reminder that when we stand together, we’re unstoppable.

    What This Song Means to Me

    As a homeschooling mom and independent artist, I’ve faced my share of challenges. This song reminds me that the same resilience that built this nation lives in each of us. We all have that steel in our spine when we need it.

    Musical Style

    We went for modern country rock with serious edge. Think powerful guitars, driving drums, and vocals that command attention. This isn’t background music – this is music that makes you stand a little taller.
