May 2026 Music Plans: What’s Coming Next From Melanie Grace

What music is Melanie Grace releasing in May and June 2026?  Following her spring releases, Melanie Grace is releasing her Americana album ‘Merica on June 8, 2026. May will feature daily blogs building toward that release and previewing the full summer music season ahead.

    Happy May 1st

There is something about the first of the month that consistently functions like a small New Year for me. A natural moment to reset, to look at the calendar with fresh perspective, and to ask yourself with real honesty what you want this next chapter to hold. This May, I know the answer with unusual clarity: more music, more genuine connection, and more of the specific joy that comes from writing something and then watching it find the exact person it was meant for.

I came into 2026 with a real plan. Not a vague I should make more music this year kind of plan, but a specific, release-by-release, month-by-month vision for a full creative year. Now we are five months in and I can look back at Soundtrack of Your Life, Through It All, the Irish Celtic singles, Do Not Disturb, Left Out, and Chosen by Grace, and feel genuinely proud of the catalog that has been built since January.

What New Music Is Coming in 2026?

Here is the announcement I have been ready to make: summer is bringing something significant and I am ready to start sharing real details. On June 8th, I am releasing ‘Merica. It is my Americana album, and it is the most directly patriotic, most wide-open, most American music I have ever made. It carries the quality of a wide landscape, summer sky overhead, no deadline in sight. The kind of music that belongs in a truck with the windows all the way down on a highway that goes somewhere beautiful.

I have been building toward this sound for a while and the timing feels exactly right. Late spring moving into early summer, when American spirit is building toward the Fourth of July and the country feels most itself in the best way, is precisely the moment when this music should exist in the world.

Why Is May a Bridge Month in Your Music Year?

May feels like a bridge in the architecture of my creative year. We are crossing from the spring energy, which was interior and honest and doing the hard emotional processing work, into the summer, which is expansive and outward and genuinely celebratory. The music is following that arc naturally and it feels exactly right. The themes are getting lighter. The melodies want to go up. The whole creative atmosphere is shifting toward something that wants to move.

May is the runway. June 8th is the takeoff. I could not be more ready for what is coming. Stay close and subscribe if you have not already, because this summer is going to be something worth being present for from the beginning.

The Neighborhood Is Doing Absolutely Everything Right Now

My neighborhood in Southern California is doing the absolute most right now and I am completely here for it. Everything is in full bloom. The kind of bloom that stops you mid-walk and makes you pull out your phone not to scroll but to photograph, because you cannot quite believe something this beautiful exists right outside your door without requiring a ticket. Pink things and white things and that particular yellow that shows up in spring as if it has been waiting all year for its single moment of full expression.

Spring songs 2026 have been accumulating in my notebooks for weeks, shaped by this exact season and everything it is visually and emotionally delivering. The longer days, the warmer evenings that now stay warm all the way through instead of turning cool after dark, the sense that something has been decided and the world has made up its mind about moving forward. All of this finds its way into the music whether I plan for it or not.

What Is the Connection Between Spring and New Music Releases?

Spring tends to push creative work toward completion in a way that winter does not. Things that were being carefully developed through the more interior, inward months of the year tend to find their shape in spring, as if the season is providing momentum that was not available before. The natural world’s forward energy is not just metaphorical for songwriters. It is felt in the actual physical experience of sitting down to write.

I have been writing more new material in recent weeks than I have shared publicly yet, and a lot of it has been directly shaped by this particular spring’s imagery, emotional temperature, and feeling of genuine openness after months of more interior, complex work. Some of these songs are going to be part of what comes later in 2026 and I am already excited about where they are heading.

    What’s Coming Up After Spring?

I am going to give you a real preview because you have been showing up here every day and you deserve one. After the spring material, summer is arriving with something I have been working toward for a while. On June 8th, I am releasing ‘Merica, my Americana album. It is the most patriotic, most American, most wide-open-landscape music I have ever made. It is built for summer. It is built for windows down and sky overhead and no particular deadline. More details are coming soon and I will be talking about it regularly as we get closer to June.

For now, enjoy the spring with full attention. Look at your neighborhood like it is actively giving you something. It is. It is giving you songs.
