Introducing the “Quilt Anthems” Album: What It’s All About

Okay. It is time. Let me OFFICIALLY introduce you to what’s coming in July.

Quilt Anthems — an album by TheMelanieGrace, celebrating the art, community, love, and legacy of quilting.

I am a quilter. Have been for years. And when I started thinking about what kind of music quilters have — songs that really celebrate this craft, this community, this specific kind of creative joy — the answer was: not much. And I decided to change that.

Quilt Anthems is a full album of songs that live inside the quilting world. Songs about the feel of fabric, the choosing of patterns, the meditative rhythm of the work. Songs about quilting bees and the women who sat around them passing stories along with thread. Songs about the quilts we inherit and the ones we make for the people we love.

But here’s what I want you to know even if you have never touched a quilt in your life: these songs are not just for quilters. They are for makers. For people who love the kind of slow, intentional creativity that results in something tangible and lasting. For anyone who has ever made something with their hands and given it to someone they love. That’s a universal human experience, and Quilt Anthems lives there.

Songs I’ll be previewing in the coming weeks include Wind Em Up, Stitched Together, and more. The full reveal is coming as we approach the July release.

If you’re in the quilting community — please share this! Tag your quilting friends! This album is for YOU and I made it because you deserve it.

    Something Quilty This Way Comes…

Alright, let me tease something for you.

You know I love to celebrate the unexpected in music — the things nobody thinks are worthy of a song until someone writes the song and suddenly everybody agrees it was long overdue. Don’t Get My Hair Wet? Overdue. Thanksgiving Traffic Memories? Overdue. The 5AM Crew? Absolutely overdue.

Well. The next one in that tradition is coming in July. And it involves fabric. And creativity. And community. And a very specific kind of joy that a very specific kind of person understands deeply.

I’m writing an album for the quilters.

I know! I KNOW. But hear me out: quilting is one of the most rich, story-filled crafts in human history. Every quilt has a story. Every fabric choice carries meaning. The quilting community is full of passionate, creative, wonderful people who love deeply and make things with their hands and deserve a whole album dedicated to them.

And I am giving them that album.

More details are coming very soon — we are talking weeks, people. But for today I just wanted to plant the seed. To let the quilters in my life (and I know you’re out there!) start getting excited.

This album has been one of the most joyful projects I’ve worked on. Wait until you hear the songs. 🧵
