    Hey everyone,

    So… I did something I didn’t plan on doing.

    I wrote one more song.

    “Four Leaf Clover” wasn’t part of the original “March Winds” plan. It wasn’t on the folklore singles list. It wasn’t scheduled. It wasn’t expected.

    But it needed to exist. And now it does.

    Let me tell you why.

    The Story Behind the Surprise

    A few weeks ago, I was outside with my son. He was running around the yard, and I found myself just… looking at the grass. All those three-leaf clovers everywhere.

    And I thought: “What would it feel like to actually FIND a four-leaf clover?”

    Not just the physical act of finding one, but what it represents. That search for luck. That belief in magic. That hope that maybe, just maybe, you’ll stumble across something rare and special.

    So I sat down and wrote “Four Leaf Clover” in one sitting. The whole thing just poured out.

    And when I was done, I realized: this song is the PERFECT bookend to everything “March Winds” is about.

    What the Four Leaves Mean

    In Irish tradition, each leaf of a clover represents something:

    First Leaf: FAITH
    Second Leaf: HOPE
    Third Leaf: LOVE
    Fourth Leaf: LUCK

    Most clovers have three leaves. Faith, hope, and love – those are abundant. Those are everywhere if you know where to look.

    But that fourth leaf? That’s rare. That’s special. That’s the one-in-ten-thousand chance.

    And this song asks: what if we’ve been searching for luck when we already have faith, hope, and love? What if the real luck is just being alive to appreciate what’s already growing around us?

    All this time I thought I needed more
    But faith and hope and love were at my door

    Four leaf clover, I survived

    “Luck is just being alive.” That’s it. That’s the whole message.

    We spend so much time searching for that fourth leaf – for luck, for that special thing that will make everything perfect – and we forget to appreciate the three leaves we already have. Faith. Hope. Love.

    And being ALIVE to experience all of it? That’s the rarest luck of all.

    How This Connects to “March Winds”

    Remember Track 14? “Bloom Where You’re Planted”?

    Remember Track 2? “Leprechaun’s Gold” – about chasing what glitters versus valuing what you have?

    “Four Leaf Clover” is the gentle sister to both of those songs. It’s saying the same thing, but with tenderness instead of power. With wonder instead of wisdom.

    It’s the realization that maybe you don’t need to find the rare thing. Maybe you need to appreciate the abundant things. Maybe the magic is already here.

    I could have tucked this onto the album. Made it Track 16. But it felt like it needed to be its own moment.

    And it’s my way of saying: here’s one more piece of the March story. Here’s one more Irish-themed song. Here’s one more reminder to appreciate what you have.

    I want my songs in movies and TV shows. I want someone to be watching their favorite show and hear “Bloom Where You’re Planted” during a character’s breakthrough moment, and I want that song to become part of their story too.

    I want to perform live. Not just in my living room. I want to stand on a stage and see people singing “The Irish Goodbye” back to me. I want to belt “Bloom Where You’re Planted” and feel the energy of a crowd who GETS IT.

    I want to make a living doing this. Not millions. Not fame. Just… enough. Enough to keep creating. Enough to support my family. Enough to prove that authentic storytelling still matters in an industry that often feels like it’s optimized the soul right out of music.

    Success is proving that you can be a mom, a wife, a regular person living in Southern California, and STILL create art that connects with people.

    The Scary Part

    You know what’s terrifying? Putting all of this out there.

    Every blog I write, every song I release, every time I say “hey, I made this, please listen” – it’s vulnerable. It’s scary. What if nobody cares? What if the music supervisors don’t call? What if I release 12 albums and nobody notices?

    But here’s what I’ve learned: the fear of NOT doing it is worse.

    The fear of being 80 years old and thinking “I had all these songs in me and I never shared them” – that’s scarier than any rejection.

    Why I’m Telling You This

    Because I want you to know: I’m not some industry insider with connections. I’m not someone who “made it” and is now documenting the journey.

    I’m IN IT. Right now. Figuring it out as I go.

    I’m using Suno AI to produce my music because I can’t afford a full band and studio time.

    I’m writing these blogs myself (with some help from Claude!) because I can’t afford a marketing team.

    I’m learning sync licensing by researching online because I don’t have an agent.

    I’m doing this the independent artist way: with determination, creativity, limited resources, and a whole lot of hope.

    This is THE moment on the album where I get to show what these Alto-Mezzo Soprano pipes can do. This is my “Defying Gravity.” This is my “And I Am Telling You.”

    Start verse 1 with RESTRAINT. Build through verse 2 with growing confidence. And then the bridge? The bridge is where you GO FOR IT. That “I’m blooming today!” line should be a MOMENT. A belt. A declaration.

    Final chorus adds those extra lines and should be FULL OUT. Everything I’ve got. Every ounce of power and conviction.

    Because if I’m going to tell YOU to bloom where you’re planted, I better mean it with my whole chest.

    What This Song Does for the Album

    We’ve been building to this. Track 9 took us to the depths. Tracks 10-12 slowly brought us back to hope. Track 13 gave us wild energy. And NOW? Now we claim our POWER.

    After this, track 15 (“Renewal”) brings us home with quiet power. But first, we need THIS. We need to ROAR.

    The Lesson I Learned

    I was waiting for God to change my circumstances. But God was saying “I’m going to change YOU right where you are.”

    And that was the more powerful transformation anyway.

    Because blooming where you’re planted isn’t about settling. It’s not about giving up on dreams. It’s about recognizing that you have power RIGHT NOW, right where you are, even if it’s not where you thought you’d be.

    It’s about stop waiting for permission. Stop waiting for perfect conditions. Stop waiting for the five-year plan to line up.

    I want you to feel POWERFUL. I want you to feel like you can take on the world. I want you to stop making excuses about why you can’t start until conditions are perfect.

    But here’s the thing – this song isn’t really about leprechauns. It’s about what we chase, what we think we want, and what we actually need.

    The Leprechaun Legend

    You know the story: catch a leprechaun, and he’ll lead you to his pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. But leprechauns are tricksters. They’re clever. They’ll distract you, make you look away for just a second, and POOF – they’re gone, and so is your chance at the gold.

    The rainbow moves. The gold is always just out of reach. And even if you DO manage to get the leprechaun’s gold, it often disappears or turns to worthless stones once you get home.

    The moral? Be careful what you chase. Be careful what you think will make you happy.

    Why This Song?

    I wrote “Leprechaun’s Gold” about the things we convince ourselves we need. The perfect job. The perfect relationship. The perfect house. The perfect life. We chase them like they’re pots of gold at the end of rainbows, thinking “if I could just GET there, I’d be happy.”

    But the rainbow keeps moving. The goal keeps shifting. And we forget to look at what we already have.

    This song is about recognizing when you’re chasing leprechaun’s gold – something that looks valuable but keeps you running in circles – versus recognizing the real treasure that’s already in your hands.

    The Irish Wisdom

    Irish folklore is FULL of cautionary tales about greed, about chasing the wrong things, about being tricked by what glitters. Leprechauns aren’t villains in these stories – they’re teachers. They show us what happens when we prioritize gold over everything else.

    The leprechaun doesn’t need to steal from you. He just needs to distract you. And we do that to ourselves all the time, don’t we? We get so focused on what we DON’T have that we forget to appreciate what we DO have.
